I met up with these high-school sweethearts for an engagement session at the beautiful and rustic Vinewood Plantation. It began to rain during our shoot so we ventured into the barn, which turned out to be some of my favorite images. These two gorgeous people are to be wed later this year and I am honored they’ve chosen me as their photographer.
The Leica M9 is really turning out to be a great camera for my style. Do I miss focus at times, sure. It is forcing me to slow down and frame the image. Most importantly it’s less intimidating for my subjects and produces some great results. If you’re curious, I havent’ abandoned the DSLR; it’s just been put on the back-burner for when it’s needed in low-light, macro, and/or super long glass.
