It is nice to know that timeless photography will never go out of style. I was sharing this image with a potential client today and received compliments on it. Made in 2010, so it’s certainly not what I’d consider old, but the photo trends of today will likely become the photography regrets of tomorrow. Jumping photos, selective color, blacks that are blue, the list could go on and on.
While I may not be innocent from giving in to some fads, we need to be mindful of the images we create, as their value should increase over time. Don’t let a fad get in the way of your photo legacy, or what a client may value more and more every year.
