She looks cold doesn’t she?

No words can adequately describe this place, yet I will make a humble attempt to do so. Somehow cruise ships can fit without wrecking into the rocky walls or floating icebergs. I basically stayed outside on the deck for more than half of the day just admiring the GIGANTIC mountains and ice-something or another that was keeping us from going any further. The captain said it was the best weather he’s ever seen as well, which is saying something if you’ve been piloting ships for 10 years.

The ship we’re on is essentially a floating city. It can hold between 2 and 3 thousand people and uses up 2.5 times more electricity than the entire town of Skagway. A sister ship of the Golden Princess was ahead of us and we got to witness the scale of these mountains by comparing it to the ship we were on. It simply looked like a toy boat, yet was holding thousands of people. Quite stunning. You just have to see it to believe it.
